Nature around us is full of surprises. One such wonder is a special group of creatures that protect and release their babies in very unusual ways. Some even appear to “give birth through the mouth!”

At first, it sounds unbelievable. But it is a real and scientifically observed phenomenon.

🐟 The Fish That “Gives Birth” Through Its Mouth

Usually, in most animals, the female plays the main role in reproduction. Some lay eggs, while others give birth to young ones.

But here is something different.

🌊 Mouthbrooding Fish – Amazing Parents

Certain fish like:

  • Jawfish
  • Cichlid fish

are known as mouthbrooders.

👉 Their unique method:

  • The female releases eggs into the water
  • These eggs are at risk of being eaten or washed away
  • The male fish collects the eggs into its mouth

Inside the mouth:

  • Eggs are protected safely
  • They develop and hatch

👉 When the babies are ready, they come out of the male’s mouth.

It looks as if the fish is giving birth through its mouth!

During this period, the male fish often does not eat, sacrificing its own comfort to protect its young.

మన చుట్టూ ఉన్న ప్రకృతిలో అద్భుతాలకు కొదవే లేదు. నోటి ద్వారా ఓ రకం ముగ చేప పిల్లలను బయటకు వదులుతుంటుంది ! నోటి ద్వారా పిల్లలను కనే వింత చేపగా ఇది ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది. 

  మనకు తెలిసినంత వరకు చాలా జంతువుల్లో ఆడ జాతి ప్రత్యుత్పత్తి విధానంలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషిస్తుంటుంది.  కొన్ని జాతులు గుడ్లను పెడతాయి. మరికొన్ని పిల్లలను కంటాయి. సాధారణ రీతిలో పుట్టుక జరిగితే వింతేముంది చెప్పండి. కానీ ఇప్పుడు ప్రస్తావించే చేప అలా కాదు. జా ఫిష్, సిక్లిడ్ చేపలను మౌత్ బ్రూడర్స్ అంటారు. ఆడ చేపలు ఫలదీకరణ అనంతరం గుడ్లు సమూహాన్ని నీటిలోకి వదిలేస్తాయి.  ఈ గుడ్లు వందల సంఖ్యలోనే ఉంటాయి. ఒక తెట్టులాగా బయటకు రాగానే నీటి ప్రవాహంలో కొట్టుకుపోకుండా, అలాగే కొన్ని జంతువులకు ఆహారంగా ఆ గుడ్లు మారిపోకుండా ఉండేందుకు ప్రధానంగా మగ చేపలు తగు రక్షణ చర్యలను వెంటనే తీసుకుంటాయి. సహజ రీతిలో గుడ్లు బయటకు రాగానే వాటిని ఈ చేపలు మరీ ముఖ్యంగా మగ చేపలు నోటిలో దాచేసుకుంటాయి. 

 గుడ్ల నుంచి పిల్ల చేపలు బయటకు రాగానే వాటిని మూకుమ్మడిగా నీటిలోకి వదిలేస్తాయి.  మగ చేపల నుంచి ఇలా పిల్లలు రావడం వినడానికి ఆశ్చర్యం అనిపించినా ఇది నిజం. ఈదు లాడటానికి సిద్ధంగా ఉన్న చిట్టి చేప పిల్లల సమూహం చేప నోటి నుంచి వెలువడటం ప్రకృతి అందించిన ఓ చమత్కార దృశ్యం. 

 

  ఇక, కడుపులో నుంచి పిల్లలను కక్కేసే కప్పలు కూడా ఉన్నాయి. వీటిని గ్యాస్ట్రిక్ బ్రూడింగ్ ఫ్రాగ్స్ అంటారు. ఐతే ఈ జాతి ప్రస్తుతం అంతరించి పోయిందనే చెప్పాలి. ఆడ జాతి కప్పల నుంచి ఫలదీకరణ పొందిన గుడ్లు బయటకు రాగానే వాటిని మింగేసి కడుపులో దాచుకుంటాయి. 

 కడుపులో ఉన్న గుడ్ల నుంచి తోక కప్ప పిల్లలు రాగానే వాటిని నోటి నుంచి బయటకు కక్కేస్తాయి. ఇదీ విడ్డూరమే కదా. సరే, పొట్టలో ఆహారాన్ని కరిగించే యాసిడ్స్ ఉంటాయి కదా.. ఈ గుడ్లను, తర్వాత అవి రూపాంతరంగా మారిన  తోక కప్ప పిల్లలను ఈ యాసిడ్స్ ఏమీ చేయవా? వాటిని కరిగించవా?? శాస్త్రవేత్తలు ఈ ఆసక్తికరమైన అంశాలపై ఇప్పటికీ పరిశోధనలు చేస్తున్నారు. ప్రకృతి తలచుకుంటే అద్భుతాలకు కొదవేముంటుంది చెప్పండి. డార్విన్ కప్ప జాతిలో మగ కప్పలు ఫలదీకరణ జరిగిన గుడ్లను మింగేసి అవి కప్ప పిల్లలుగా మారాక వాటిని నోటి నుంచి వదిలేస్తుంటాయి. 


 మరో వింత చెప్పనా.. సీ-హార్స్ లు (నీటి గుర్రాలు) అనే చేప జాతి జంతువుల్లో జరిగే అరుదైన ప్రత్యుత్పత్తి విధానం ఇది.. మగ సీ-హార్స్ లు గర్భం దాలుస్తాయి!  ఈ మాట అనగానే ఆశ్చర్యపోతున్నారు కదూ. నిజం చెబుతాను, చదవండి.. ఆడ సీ -హార్స్ లు ఫలదీకరణ చెందిన గుడ్లను జాగ్రత్తగా తీసుకువెళ్ళి మగ సీ-హార్స్ కడుపు దగ్గర ఉన్న సంచీలోకి జారవిడుస్తాయి. ఇక అప్పటి నుంచి ఈ గుడ్ల జాగ్రత్త మగజాతి చూసుకుంటుందన్న మాట. గుడ్ల నుంచి పిల్లలు రాగానే తండ్రి సీ - హార్స్ తన కడుపులోని సంచీలో నుంచి వందల సంఖ్యలో పిల్లలను బయటకు వదిలేస్తుంటుంది.  చూడటానికి మగ సీ హార్స్ లే పిల్లలను కంటున్నట్లు ఉంటుంది. ఈ దృశ్యం ఓ అద్భుతం. 

 ఇక ప్లాటిపస్ అనే జంతువు ప్రత్యుత్పత్తి విధానం కూడా ఆశ్చర్యంగానే ఉంటుంది. పిల్లలకు పాలిచ్చే జంతువుల (క్షీరదాలు) సరసనే ఉన్న ప్లాటిపస్  జంతువు చిత్రంగా ముందు గుడ్లు పెడుతుంది. పొదిగిన తర్వాత వాటి నుంచి పిల్లలు రావడం అవి అమ్మ పాలు త్రాగడం జరుగుతుంటుంది. ఇదో అద్భుత దృశ్యం... పరిణామ క్రమానికి ఓ అందమైన చిహ్నం. 

 ప్రత్యుత్పత్తి విధానాలను నిశితంగా గమనిస్తుంటే ఇలాంటి వండర్స్ ఇంకా చాలానే కనబడతాయి. ప్రతి జాతి తమ జాతిని పెంచుకోవడం, రక్షించుకోవడం పట్ల ఎంతటి జాగ్రత్త వహిస్తాయో ఈ జంతువులను చూస్తే అర్థమవుతుంది. అంతే కాదు, పిల్లల సంరక్షణలో ఆడ, మగ సమానంగా శ్రద్ధ తీసుకోవాలన్న సున్నితమైన సందేశాన్ని కూడా ఈ జంతువులు మానవాళికి అందజేస్తున్నాయి.
