గుడ్ల నుంచి పిల్ల చేపలు బయటకు రాగానే వాటిని మూకుమ్మడిగా నీటిలోకి వదిలేస్తాయి. మగ చేపల నుంచి ఇలా పిల్లలు రావడం వినడానికి ఆశ్చర్యం అనిపించినా ఇది నిజం. ఈదు లాడటానికి సిద్ధంగా ఉన్న చిట్టి చేప పిల్లల సమూహం చేప నోటి నుంచి వెలువడటం ప్రకృతి అందించిన ఓ చమత్కార దృశ్యం.

ఇక, కడుపులో నుంచి పిల్లలను కక్కేసే కప్పలు కూడా ఉన్నాయి. వీటిని గ్యాస్ట్రిక్ బ్రూడింగ్ ఫ్రాగ్స్ అంటారు. ఐతే ఈ జాతి ప్రస్తుతం అంతరించి పోయిందనే చెప్పాలి. ఆడ జాతి కప్పల నుంచి ఫలదీకరణ పొందిన గుడ్లు బయటకు రాగానే వాటిని మింగేసి కడుపులో దాచుకుంటాయి.
